Known for artistic excellence and innovation, PNB has performed on prestigious stages around the world — including tours throughout Europe, Australia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Canada, and major cities across the United States. Under Artistic Director Peter Boal’s leadership, the company has thrived, expanding and diversifying its repertoire to include works by groundbreaking choreographers such as Alejandro Cerrudo, Ulysses Dove, Jiri Kylian, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, Justin Peck, Crystal Pite, Alexei Ratmansky, Jerome Robbins, Twyla Tharp and Christopher Wheeldon, among others.
Boal appointed world-renowned choreographer Jessica Lang to be PNB’s resident choreographer in 2024. This season, PNB and BSV have co-commissioned a new ballet from Lang. Recently, Lang spent a week in residence at the Hemingway House in Ketchum. A unique opportunity to tap into the area’s unique light, sounds and energies as she began conceiving her new work. Her world premiere will be performed by the arists of PNB in the 2026 Summer Festival.
